The Communication Industry has grown rapidly over recent years. With the ever-increasing range of equipment available, it becomes more and more difficult to choose a system that fits YOUR requirements.

That’s where ULSTER AERIALS can help. We are independent professionals, people who have been in the front line of the radio business for 40 years. We’ll give you balanced, unbiased and expert advice on all aspects of mobile and radio communications.

MANUFACTURE

Here in Comber we manufacture and supply to the communications industry in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland Aerial mounting brackets and accessories in cast aluminium with stainless steel hardware and our very popular wall mounting brackets in heavy gauge steel with hot dip galvanised finish. We also manufacture one-offs of steelwork as required by the customer.

RADIO SERVICING

Radio communications are only effective when your equipment is working at 100% efficiency. ULSTER AERIALS will undertake to repair or maintain your own equipment on a casual or contract basis. Our reputation in the industry has been built on a back-up service second to none. Our workshops are equipped to the latest standards and our test equipment is regularly calibrated to ensure accuracy.

SHORT TERM HIRE

Over the years we have built up a wide and varied experience of events and our stock of hire radios and accessories reflect that by being “off the shelf” ready for most situations. All the equipment is of course kept up to our own exacting standards and ready for any emergency requests. We regularly supply the Motorcycle racing events and the Rallying community including Northern Ireland’s top drivers, where the need can be literally “life or death”, but also less urgent needs such as horse and trade shows, land and marine surveys etc.

RENTAL

We also operate a long-term rental of either individual Radios or a system, which under our rental agreement means that a single monthly payment includes all installation and maintenance thereby enabling you to plan your communications budget. Larger companies and public bodies find rental to be of benefit as a budget for their radio system can be made with no hidden costs i.e. repairs, call charges, etc.

SALES

ULSTER AERIALS are authorised dealers for many of the leading names in the communications business, such as MAXON, FRANCIS & LEWIS, JAYBEAM and PANORAMA to name but a few. But our independent position allows us to give a fair evaluation of any individual piece of equipment and then recommend only what the customer really needs to solve their communications problems.

INSTALLATIONS

Installations on vehicles may be carried out at our workshops or at customer’s premises depending on the circumstances.

AERIAL RIGGING

ULSTER AERIALS employ their own highly qualified aerial rigging team who not only work on their own sites and masts but also erect masts and install aerials and dishes. In addition to this we are also contracted by several companies to carry out installations and 24hr stand-by cover of all new microwave systems both for cellular and paging.

TELEMETRY

Ulster Aerials have been involved in Telemetry installations for some years now, initially with the aerial rigging, we now can provide a complete service including plant wiring, radio/modem/interface installation and of course the aerial rigging.

SITES AND MASTS

ULSTER AERIALS own and operate numerous CBS Repeaters, which are a very cost effective way of providing area coverage for your fleet (or two vans!). All of these community Repeaters can provide wide area coverage to a number of customers for a fraction of the cost of setting up your own comparable system. The Repeaters can provide a very simple system or an elaborate elective calling system to suit more advanced requirements.

For those customers who have a need for their own wide area system we can provide mast space on one of our hill top sites from which a large part of the province may be covered.
